Jamie

Meet Jamie. Jamie is a (very) regular customer at the store- very funny and outgoing, makes darn sure you know how to spell her name correctly, and insists- in her Brooklyn accent- that she's from Paris. I refer to Jamie as Knit Cafe's Goodwill Ambassador. Jamie once pulled in a couple off the street and convinced them that knitting was a wonderful hobby and that they would love to learn how to knit, and they signed up for classes on the spot. If I ever somehow forgot my work schedule, or what class I was teaching the following week, or what yarn was in the bottom left corner of the sale bin, Jamie could (um, actually, she frequently does) remind me. Jamie wears a "Will Work for Yarn" button on her purse. So, we love Jamie, right? Right.
Today, Jamie took her love of yarn to the next level. Jamie found out the dates of the Knit Cafe birthday sale. Jamie had booked a trip to Las Vegas during that week. Jamie- I'm sure you know where I'm headed with this one- cancelled her trip to Vegas so that she would be in town for the very first day of the Knit Cafe birthday sale.
Now, I love yarn. I actually DO work for yarn. Clearly, the love of yarn and all things wooly (and cotton-y, for that matter) is a lifestyle choice for me at this point. But, Jamie, you have truly gone above and beyond this time! MWAH!
