seriously, 2 months?
Because, you know, 2 months since my last post means a lot of stuff to recap. So let us simply pick up and begin again, shall we? But first: oddly enough, I've noticed that the number of bloglines subscribers to my feeds (I have several feeds to the same website, not quite sure how that happened but it did) has gone up. So have the number of site visitors. So, welcome y'all! Hope rainy day won't suck for you now that I'm back, writing again.
So last week I made the cutest thing ever. Or, at least, the cutest thing I've ever made. So cute, in fact, that I'm convinced that the pattern itself is infallable. I give you, wee bunny:

Let me explain what I mean by an infallible pattern (cuz them's mighty strong words, I know). What I mean is, you should follow the link to the pattern above and have a great time making it. Right away. Because, as you can clearly see in the picture, nothing- not even my crappy embroidery, inability (still) to sew a curvy seam (I'm getting the straight ones, though) or the fact that I sewed the ears on backwards (!) kept this bunny from being darn cute. Darn, DARN cute.
My niece thinks so, too:
Seriously, wasn't she just born? What is happening with time?
So, yes, crafty goodness that isn't knitting. I can recap this much about the last 2 months, I suppose: I've been cooking (loads of yummy things! I only recently discovered puff pastry dough, and the deliciousness that ensues when one cooks with it), playing guitar (still with more passion than skill), sewing. Last week I looked at my knitting and thought, MH, get real with the stuff on the needles. Have a little more respect for the yarn, at least. Rip out the umpteen million projects you know you're not thrilled about and move on with your life. And I ripped out loads of projects! We're talkin' 3 almost finished sweaters (2 for me, 1 baby sweater) and a sock. It felt great! Then I got bored. So I still have a vest and a shawl (and maybe a jacket, but we'll see) to rip out. I'm reclaiming the yarn, and now I have Plans and Ideas again and also I am Motivated.
