tidepools finished (and started)
First things first: I just want to say: thank you to all of you who read this blog. I have been getting such kind, and funny, and sweet comments and emails lately, more so than usual - even though I've always felt like I've found a positive community corner of blogland - and I really appreciate the fact that anyone reads what I write here, and likes my pictures, and thinks my projects are interesting, and when you guys take the time to write and comment, it's... well, it's just so darn NICE and fun, and I'm grateful for it and I think everyone should have a blog because they are awesome. Thanks, I mean it. Thank YOU! Sitting right there. Thank you.
Now then. Knitting! That's right, knitting. I finished my first pair of Tidepools last night, and I love, love, love them.
The colors of the Sea Wool are so cheerful, and they feel wonderfully slinky and soft. I enjoyed using this simple stitch pattern in a sock, and I'll post the pattern soon. Since this first pair is not destined for me (I knit them in a larger size), I naturally felt compelled to test knit the smaller size in the pattern for myself.
I'm working this pair as anklets, with a rib pattern at the cuff, so that the finished pattern will have some options. I like what I've done so far - and anklets are speedy... always a plus. More to come!

and also, those socks are beautiful. That blue is unbelievable ...I might have to check out that Sea Wool.
You continue to be a source of inspiration for me both in my creative and personal lives.
Love you.
And thank you for sharing your world with the rest of us!
The blue of that Sea Wool is fantastic! I don't think I've ever seen sock yarn that color before. Love it. And the stitch pattern totally makes the most of it.
