every day

During the short break between my 365 self-portrait project and starting the Year in Pictures project (not self-portraits - just pictures) I really missed the daily discipline of taking a photograph and capturing a moment of the day. I love having a visual diary, and I love keeping my camera in my pocket, always ready. My favorite pictures so far in this project have been unplanned, spontaneous, mundane. A quick snap on the patio at knitting night, lights against the sunset clouds.

I'd like to be as disciplined about knitting and spinning every day! I could offer up excuses about how it takes longer, but truthfully, there are lots of things I do every single day without fail that take time - taking and processing photos, cooking, hiking, watering and tending the garden. I need to set my mind to it is all.

Great photos, MH! I think that last one is a favorite of mine, too. RE: gardening below - go you! I really want to plant some raised beds myself. I think the side porch might be a great spot for lettuce...
